Here's What Wisin & Yandel Should Do if They Break Up

May 5, 2013— -- Reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel's manager is none too happy over rumors that the group has broken up. Yesterday, Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día [link in Spanish] reported on a possible split, adding that reggaeton artist Don Omar wished Yandel success as a "solo artist" after the two performed together at a concert in Puerto Rico on Friday. But the group's manager, Edgar Andino, denied that Yandel is going solo, pointing out that Don Omar is "neither Yandel's publicist, nor his manager." Their actual publicist, Jennifer Nieman, echoes Andino, assuring that Wisin & Yandel are going "solid" as a duo. The group's official Twitter account also linked to reports indicating the two were still together.

...Of course, none of that means Yandel isn't pursuing his own, solo work even while the group remains together. He joined other popular reggaeton artists -- sans Wisin -- in the single "" and, as he noted on his personal Twitter account, is working on a solo album he's calling "La Leyenda."

However, if the two DO decide to go their own separate ways, we'd 1) cry, and 2) offer some suggestions for possible business opportunities going forward. For example: Yandel could always return to his roots as a barber -- albeit one with his own TLC reality show, line of high-end razors, and a string of boutique barber shops in San Juan, New York City, and Los Angeles called "Made in the Fade."

As for Wisin, he'd do well to keep away from the family cockfighting business (way too much drama there already), and instead focus on his own solo work, including a soundtrack for an animated kids show, "Los Extraterrestres: Kidz in Space," where kids learn valuable life lessons from aliens with an uncanny ability to inspire booty shaking wherever they roam. All we ask for is a producer credit and frequent cameo spots.
