Lil Wayne's New Album: The Best, Worst and Weirdest Songs

Glad he's alive and well, but 'I Am Not A Human Being II' is all over the place.

March 26, 2013— -- Lil Wayne's new album, I Am Not A Human Being II, was released today by Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records. It's Weezy's 10th studio album and a mess of one, if I can say so. Here are the best and worst songs of the album, and a few stragglers worth mentioning.

BEST: "Love Me" featuring Drake & Future

This is was the 3rd single released off IANAHB2. The song is pretty good, a definite radio hit. The video is another story.

Lil Wayne is in a flooded old Victorian bedroom with a bunch of sexy girls crawling around him. Then Future is in another room full of caged girls crawling around with snake tongues, leopard face paint, and animal contact lenses. Lastly, there's Drake rocking a silk t-shirt, of course, and just strutting back and forth in front of a scaffolding covered in – you guessed it – more crawling women.

Overall a lot of crawling women in this strange Weezy castle, but the song is catchy and pretty true to Lil Tunechi's sound. Therefore I declare this to be the best song on the album. If that doesn't sound like a good enough reason to rate it as the best, well, then you understand my frustration with IANAHB2.

WORST: "Gunwalk"

Call me a liberal hippie for hating a song about a gun, but I just don't understand murder music. Do serial killers need theme songs? Who can possibly relate to these songs? Why does the world need music describing homicide? The song is about Weezy's gun-strut and killing people. It ends with Weezy singing "you speechless, you speechless" in a tantalizing creepy voice that makes me picture a little kid poking a dead animal with a stick. It's disturbing.

Also, since I'm already complaining, he overdoes it with the n-word on this track.

WEIRDEST: "Romance"

This song isn't included on the iTunes version of the album, and maybe that's a good thing. Billboard's review of the album pointed out Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg's newest parody song where they sing, "railing on your butt, romance." But the SNL parody is no parody to Lil Wayne.

"I always do you favors and that's romance, that's romance, that's romance. I f---ed you on your job and that's romance, that's romance, that's romance."

That's not romance dude.

The weirdest part of the song is "that's romance" and how it's repeated like an old doo-wop hit about holding hands and slow dancing. Oh, wait. Lil Wayne is talking about that. Err… sorta.

"That's romance, that's romance, she kiss my ankle when I twist my ankle, she even did a--l when she don't do a--l. My b---- I'm thankful. Let's hold hands. Can we? Let's slow dance. Shall we?"

What?!

*BONUS* BEST MUSIC VIDEO: "No Worries" featuring Detail

Lil Wayne as Raoul Duke in a "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" recreation. 'Nough said.

The video has birthed a new term, WWHSTS: What Would Hunter S. Thompson Say?

Maybe "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." Or, "If you're going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you're going to be locked up." Basically all Hunter S. Thompson quotes work in Lil Wayne's favor.

We're happy Lil Tunechi is out of the hospital, and we send our love and cyber healing power to get him well enough to make another album. Hopefully a better one.
