Elise Roedenbeck Joins Fusion as On Air Contributor

May 9, 2013— -- Fusion's interim President Beau Ferrari sent the following note to staff announcing new additions to the team:

Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing with more good news about a talented writer, producer and performer joining our ranks. Elise Roedenbeck will be an on air contributor for all our programs and platforms, delivering her signature take on the day’s news and hot topics.

Elise – a Peruvian-American – has been the New York bureau chief for news and satire site Pocho.com, and she created its popular MiJA Weekly series. Her smart and funny pop culture commentary ranges from feminism and immigration reform to Dennis Rodman’s trip to North Korea.

She’s also a budding stand-up comedian who studied sketch comedy writing with the famed Upright Citizens Brigade. She’s won over audiences at some of the biggest venues in New York City, including Gotham Comedy, the Underground Lounge and the New York Comedy Club.

A native Spanish speaker with a loyal online following, Elise brings a unique voice and many talents to Fusion. She starts Monday and will be based in Miami.

Please join me in welcoming Elise to the team.

Beau
