Cyber Monday Starts Earlier This Year
As wallets tighten, retailers go earlier and earlier.
Nov. 27, 2011 — -- Those not weary from Black Friday's blowouts may find the energy to peruse Cyber Monday deals, many of which actually begin on Sunday this year.
Last year, more than 100 million consumers shopped online on Cyber Monday, according to personal finance security service, BillGuard.
Online shoppers would be wise to comparison shop and maximize the rewards they can earn.
While shopping online, if you have a credit card that rewards you with points, use those racked-up points to purchase gifts for your loved ones, said personal finance expert Farnoosh Torabi with Chase Ultimate Rewards. Chase cardmembers with Ultimate Rewards, for example, can redeem their points for gifts and discounted gift cards. Cardmembers who use reward points to shop on Cyber Monday will also save 25 percent on merchandise at the Ultimate Rewards mall.
"Depending on your points balance, some gifts could even end up being free," she said.
Here is a sneak peek at 18 Cyber Monday deals:
1. AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service)
The Exchange's shopmyexchange.com website will offer "Cyber Monday" deals on Nov. 28 for active and retired military guard and their families who are authorized shoppers for the Exchange.
2. Academy Sports and Outdoors
Cyber Monday deals on academy.com will begin Nov. 29 until supplies last. A spokesman said ustomers can check back daily for specific offers.
3. Ace Hardware
Ace Hardware is offering 10 percent discount off your entire order on Cyber Monday valid from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m EST on Monday acehardware.com only. Offer applies to merchandise subtotal. Tax or shipping and handling charges will not be included in determining merchandise subtotal and are not discountable. Offer not available with any other offer or on previous purchases. Offer excludes sale and clearance items, power tools, power equipment, grills, water heaters, EdenPure heaters and gift cards.
Save up to 30 percent off thousands of items on Babiesrus.com, including car seats, strollers, furniture and much more, during the site's Cyber Week beginning at 6pm on Sunday through Saturday, Dec. 3.
From Saturday to Monday, save up to 40 percent off select "Style Level" promotions. Bass Pro Shops' Cyber Week Sale will feature special prices each day only good for that day.The sale starts on Saturday through Sunday. On Saturday, RedHead hooded jacket in assorted colors, regular $49.99, will have a cyber special price of $29.97. On Monday, for the serious fisherman, the Shimano Curado reel, regular $199.99, will be on sale for $129.97.
7. GameStop
Gamestop.com's Cyber Monday deals, while supplies last, include:

JCPenney's Cyber Monday Sale will begin on Sunday, Nov. 27 through Tuesday and includes:

Macys.com Cyber Monday deals will be available online starting Sunday. For the first time this season, Macy's will lower its free shipping threshold on all online purchases made on Cyber Monday to $75 ($75 minimum order - promo code CYBER; excludes furniture, mattresses and rugs) beginning Sunday through Monday. The deals include buy one get one free select women's sweaters, $99.99 select 24-piece room-in-a-bag sets, $349.99 Dyson DC-17 total clean vacuum, $79.99 Bill Blass Premier 4-piece luggage set, and $29.99 TDK performance headphones.
12. Office Max
Office Max's Cyber Monday deals include:

A spokeswoman said Target.com will have "greatly-discounted deals across all categories on Cyber Monday, plus deals on thousands more items throughout Cyber Week."
Cyber Monday kicks off with $3.99 movies and many items at 50 percent off or more within the Home, Apparel, Health & Beauty, Toys, Electronics & Entertainment categories. Cyber Monday items include $100 in free accessories -- cradle, LCD screen protector and AC Adapter -- when you buy a Sony Tablet S ($499.99), plus over 30 percent off other electronics; 60 percent off a top selling scooter ($19.99), plus other toys at 30 to 50 percent off; and "Buy One, Get One Free" on Pillow Pets.

The company announced Cyber Monday will begin at 6pm on Sunday, November 27 on Toysrus.com, with new deals being added all week long. Toysrus.com will have free shipping offers site-wide throughout the holiday weekend and Cyber Week for deals such as:
