House Speaker Rand Paul teased on Twitter that he had a “YUGE” endorsement announcement coming today, but he later clarified it was all a ruse.
H&M's Mark Zuckerberg Collection
Customers may be sad to learn H&M's elaborate April Fools' joke involving Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is just that. In an homage to Zuckerberg's repetitive wardrobe, the collection on markforhm.com features "seven basic grey t-shirts and one pair of basic jeans." The tag line is: "One less thing to think about in the morning."
Artisanal Toilet Paper
Quilted Northern said it's releasing the fist small batch toilet paper, Quilted Northern Rustic Weave. The joke includes a takeover of QuiltedNorthern.com and straight-faced digital video commercials.
"The demand for simple, handcrafted, heritage products is stronger than ever, but no toilet paper satisfies this growing sector," a company press release states. "The teams quickly realized that in order to create the next breakthrough innovation they needed to go back to the drawing board to create something more bespoke."
Zumba Roomba
Zumba Fitness and iRobot, creator of the Roomba vacuum cleaning robot, have teamed up to give cleaning and exercising -- "two of life’s unavoidable activities -- a "healthy dose of daily color and fun." Videos show the automated vacuum cleaner with a music dock on top playing dance music. Zumba is actually giving away four Zumba Roombas via social media, but the company clarifies that it's not a product for sale.

T-Mobile wants users to binge on their favorite television shows and movies with a hands-free way to view them on your phone.
Virgin America's New Logo
Virgin America also went all out for April Fools', releasing a video with what appears to be a pair of breasts as the company's new logo.
"Millions of people around the world identify with the logo, so when we decided to undertake the monumental task of updating it, we didn’t take it lightly," the company YouTube video description states. "At our core, we’re changing the world through better flights. How do you capture all of that in a logo?"
U.S. Army Teleports Soldiers
According to a U.S. Army press release issued today, "Army scientists have successfully 'teleported' a fully equipped squad from a Massachusetts research and development facility to a training area in Germany, the Natick Soldier Systems Center." The press release went into detail, adding that "a device not unlike the 'flux capacitor' seen in the "Back to the Future" movie series was employed during the experiment. This led to immediate speculation that the Army was also working on time travel, but time travel requirements of generating 1.21 gigawatts is no trivial feat."
