Why '19 Kids and Counting' Stars Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Didn't Have 1st Kiss at Wedding
What the "19 Kids and Counting" stars did instead of kiss at the ceremony.
-- Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald of “19 Kids and Counting” tied the knot this Saturday in Arkansas with a notable deviation from the last Duggar wedding featuring Jessa's sister Jill.
Seewald and Duggar, 21, had said they would wait until marriage to have their first kiss, which they did. But unlike Jill and husband Derick Dillard, Jessa and Ben didn't kiss for the first time at their ceremony.
"They wanted their very first kiss ever to be in private," Pastor Mike Schadt told People magazine. "It was important to the both of them."
So, guests in attendance didn't get to see that first smooch.
Instead the pastor asked the heads of the Duggar family to kiss to satisfy the crowd. "So, now you've seen a Duggar kiss," Schadt said.
The couple then spent some time alone and would kiss later publicly at their wedding reception.
As for Jessa's gown, she chose a beautiful dress from Tesori Bridal, with Swarovski crystals. The dress wasn't the usual white but blush.
