Lohan Off the Hook After Arrest Warrant

Judge annuls Lindsay Lohan's arrest warrant; she must enroll in more alcohol ed.

March 16, 2009 — -- Lindsay Lohan's latest legal mess is over.

A Beverly Hills judge did away with a warrant issued for Lohan's arrest at a hearing Monday morning. She did not appear in court.

Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, showed proof of compliance on her behalf. Lohan must enroll in a new alcohol education program and head back to court to prove it April 3.

An arrest warrant was issued for the 22-year-old starlet Friday stemming from her 2007 DUI and hit-and-run case. She's currently serving a three-year probation term for her second DUI conviction. She also served 84 minutes in jail for the charges in 2007.

"A warrant was in fact issued Friday for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan," Beverly Hills police said in a statement issued Friday. "The circumstances leading to the issuance by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so this matter can be resolved in at timely manner."

The lawyer told the Los Angeles Times on Saturday that the warrant "was born out of a misunderstanding" and that the actress had complied with terms of her probation.

Michael Lohan Blames Samantha Ronson

In the wake of Lindsay Lohan's arrest warrant, her dad spoke out about her declining well-being and star power. He blames it all on her girlfriend, 31-year-old disc jockey Samantha Ronson. Since becoming close with Ronson last summer, Lindsay Lohan has been seen out and about at clubs, possibly drinking, more than ever before.

"I'm still adamant about the fact that Samantha got Lindsay in a very vulnerable state and played on that," Michael Lohan told ABCNews.com. "Every time Lindsay shows up at one of Samantha's gigs, there's a fight. There's always some kind of big problem."

"If Samantha really loved Lindsay, she wouldn't have had her in that atmosphere," he added. "She's using Lindsay to further her own career."

Michael Lohan said he hopes the judge cracks down on his daughter, but he doesn't think the court will be able to get to what he sees as the root of her problems.

"I hope the court gives Lindsay a chance to really get life on track," he said. "I wish there was a way for the court to issue a restraining order to keep Samantha away from Lindsay."

Lindsay Lohan's Wild Night

Lindsay Lohan's arrest warrant came after a raucous night on the town. She was seen at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont early Friday night, according to People magazine, drinking an unidentified beverage out of a cocktail glass with a group of friends.

Around 1:45 a.m., she and her crew arrived at the Hollywood home of actor Jack Nicholson and buzzed the intercom a number of times before being let in, according to People. Her bodyguard picked her up at 4:30 a.m. and brought her to Ronson's home.

Lindsay Lohan has stayed out of court since pleading guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence in August 2007. She has also largely stayed out of the spotlight. Her last film, the 2007 horror flick "I Know Who Killed Me," earned her two Razzie Awards for worst actress.
