CMA Award Nominations Announced!
Miranda Lambert leads with nine nominations.
Sept. 1, 2010 — -- Today on "Good Morning America" country music stars Dierks Bently and Miranda Lambert announced the star-studded lineup of country artists nominated for the coveted Country Music Association Awards.
Lambert led the crowd with nine nominations. Lady Antebellum -- who recently wowed the "GMA" audience with the latest country hits -- has been nominated for five.

Tune in to "The 44th Annual CMA Awards" hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood Wednesday, Nov. 10 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
And the Nominees Are ...
Entertainer of the Year: Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band
Entertainer of the Year is among the biggest awards in the country music world. Last year Taylor Swift took the prize home, along with several other wins. Without Swift in the running, some of country's biggest names are vying to take the over-the-top spot.
Female Vocalist of the Year: Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood
The Female Vocalist of the Year award pits legendary country artists like Reba McEntire up against red-hot starlets. Last year Taylor Swift took home this prize too but will have to overcome banner year-long performances from the likes of Miranda Lambert.
Male Vocalist of the Year:
A win this year for Brad Paisley would mark his fourth consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year victory. The nomination alone has already pushed him to the No. 3 artist with the most career nominations.
But also awaiting his fourth ever Male Vocalist of the Year award is Keith Urban, who took home the prize in 2004, 2005 and 2006. That's not to mention crowd favorites Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton, along with bonafide country institution George Strait. With his first nomination 27 years ago, Strait has gone only two years without a nomination since.

Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" has been flying up the charts and currently sits at Billboard's No. 2 spot for country albums and the group is the current CMA vocal group of the year. But Miranda Lambert's "Revolution" isn't far behind in sales. But sales don't equate to wins, and it could be anybody's game come November.
