Aug. 17, 2011— -- What are the top karaoke songs? That all depends on who you ask.

There's actually no definitive list that details what songs people sing the most. The closest we found was put together by the United States Karaoke Alliance and used histories from 1,000 karaoke shows at thirty bars to come up with the 500 songs performed most frequently.

The number one song is "Picture" by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock, with Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" right behind it. The old standbys of "Summer Nights" from "Grease" and Journey's classic "Don't Stop Believing," along with Alannah Myles "Black Velvet" round out the top five.

But like we said, the best songs all depend on who you ask. For Brits, ABBA's "Waterloo" ranked as the top tune. According to the web site AskMen.com, the best song for guys to sing is "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf. And it seems our own John Berman from "Nightline" prefers "Copacabana."

Even in our own office, we couldn't agree on the best song. We narrowed it down to 15 but couldn't come up with an ultimate best, so we're leaving that up to you. Vote in our poll and let us know which you think deserves the number one spot. And, if you totally disagree with our picks, let us know in the comments the song you belt out most on the karaoke stage.
