You Haven't Seen This 'Sex and the City'
Two visionary ABCNews.com readers spin tales even Carrie Bradshaw couldn't top.
Sept. 11, 2009 -- When ABCNews.com asked what you want to see from the "Sex and the City" movie sequel, we underestimated your enthusiasm -- our inboxes filled up with responses within hours, ranging from stories that ring true to the series to out-there tales that Carrie Bradshaw herself could not have conceived.
From the dozens of e-mails, a couple stood out. Below, find out what the "Sex and the City" sequel might look like if two visionary fans had their way:
'Sex and the City' Meets 'CSI,' Sci-Fi
"I would like to see a 'CSI'-inspired 'Sex and the City' sequel. Carrie could get kidnapped by a crazed sexual deviant killer. He could hold her prisoner at various locations ... while still allowing her to post her columns. Each time a new column is received, the police rush to the scene where it was sent from only to find they have just missed catching the kidnapper/killer and rescuing her. Over time, Carrie develops Stockholm syndrome and falls in love with her captor."
"Meanwhile the other girls have trouble of their own. Samantha discovers that she has a secret passion for a twisted combination of beastiality and German **** porn, and begins raising goats in her Manhattan apartment for such a purpose. But friction is caused when Miranda figures out what is going on and wants in on the action. A jealous love triangle develops between the two girls and the alpha goat, who they have named 'Mr. Cocksworth.' The problem is solved when Charlotte becomes the mediator and decides to make a spicy goat sausage out of Mr. Cocksworth. Crises averted; female bonding ensues at some crappy yuppie upscale uptown boutique, as the girls shop, reflect on their sexual misadventure, and gorge themselves on goat cheese."
"No sooner has the redemption occurred, however, than Charlotte receives a nighttime visit from an alien abductor. The alien implants her with a virus that causes her to slowly mutate into a hybrid human/alien, while simultaneously impregnating her (again! OMG!!) with a cloned fetus who is destined to one day become galactic overlord. Charlotte's husband and children do not understand the changes happening inside her, and hire a hit man to bump her off. However, due to more alien contrivances, the scheme horribly backfires, and the hit man mistakenly kills Charlotte's husband and children."
"The final scene of the movie has the alien spaceship slowly flying away, carrying Charlotte away with her new alien lover. Samantha and Miranda solemnly wave goodbye to the spaceship while munching on Mr. Cocksworth sausages, and Carrie looks out the one small window of the cell where she is bound and gagged and sees the alien spaceship flying away too. The voice over for the final scene is her reflections on alien love." Anonymous, New York, N.Y.
'Sex and the City' Meets 'Big Love'
"Carrie and Big agree to be godparents to Charlotte and Harry's new baby, and are required to take instruction in the Jewish faith. When Harry develops prostate cancer, Big undergoes a crisis of faith. What if Harry dies? Is Big required to help Charlotte raise her baby in the Jewish faith? Big isn't even sure he believes in God. This leads Carrie to question whether or not Big is prepared to become a father. Carrie is surprised to discover her inner Presbyterian, and her own desire to have children and provide them with a religious education."
"Meanwhile, Miranda and Steve, after several years of trying to get pregnant again, decide to hire a surrogate to provide a brother or sister for Brady. They agree on Carrie's assistant (played by Jennifer Hudson). Carrie's assistant wants to use the money she earns as a surrogate to launch her own fashion line. But she develops complications during pregnancy, and it's unclear if there is a problem with the baby. Miranda wants her to undergo testing to determine if the baby is healthy; Steve objects. He insists they should continue the pregnancy, regardless of the possibility of a birth defect."
"Charlotte and Harry are dealing with Harry's health crisis. The treatment for prostate cancer is leaving him with a greatly reduced libido. Charlotte is understanding and supportive, but is feeling frustrated. She turns to Big, who, unexpectedly, has risen to the occasion, fulfilling the role of godfather."
"Charlotte begins to develop a slight crush on Big. She is mortified, and redoubles her efforts to support and console Harry."
"Samantha, who is momentarily single, observes what is going on and takes Carrie aside to advise her about Charlotte's crush. Carrie is unbelieving. She decides to invite Charlotte and Harry to dinner, and observes for herself Charlotte's excessive and heretofore atypical interest in Big."
"Later Carrie talks to Charlotte, who at first denies, then acknowledges her interest in Big. Carrie gently steers Charlotte back toward Harry, encouraging her to give and seek affection in other ways."
"Carrie decides to take Big on a second honeymoon, in order to reignite their passion. They go to Iceland and stay in the ice hotel. In a room filled with candles, Carrie and Big make love."
"Ten days later, on the flight home, Carrie orders a bag of chips. Half way through the bag, she starts to feel ill. It turns out she is pregnant."
"How does it all end? Harry goes into remission and regains his libido. Miranda and Steve's surrogate gives birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome. They both embrace the child. Carrie is pregnant, and asks Samantha to be the godmother. Everyone gathers at the home of Carrie and Big for Thanksgiving, where Big presides over the table. He cuts the turkey, announcing that he is performing a c-section in the event that Carrie requires emergency surgery."
"Lights fade. The faces of Charlotte and Miranda appear, and slowly fade into the faces of their babies. Carrie's and Samantha's faces appear, and then slowly dissolve into the face of Carrie's unborn child." Mary Carlson, Reno, Nev.
