'Zack and Miri' Stars Make Naughty Names for Themselves
The stars of Kevin Smith's new movie dish on who they'd be if they were in porn.
Oct. 22, 2008 -- Things got naughty on the red carpet and at the after-party for "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," a film that finds two longtime friends making an adult film to overcome a financial bind.
Stars graced the carpet before the film's screening (it opens Oct. 31), and afterward as they sipped fruity concoctions and munched on mini-crab cakes at the Roosevelt Hotel, they chatted about what their — ahem — adult film star names would be.
Mostly, the stars of the film relied on an age-old formula to come up with their personas: They took either their middle names and added it to the first street they lived on, or they used their first pet's name.
Here's what some of them came up with.
Brandon Routh, who plays Bobby: "If I take my first pet and my street name … I don't know if the street name would really work because it would be Center. Otis Center. That would be my name. Is that hot? If I had an alternative name it would be John Doe. And nobody would know it was me."
Seth Rogen (Zack): "With my pet's name and the street I grew up on, it's Aloiscious St. James. That's a pretty rad name."
Craig Robinson (Delaney): "Going by the formula of your pet name and the street that you grew up on, I'm Gidget Walcott. Nice."
Jeff Anderson (Deacon): "They always said to take your middle name and the street you grew up on right? In that case, my name would be Allan Ocean Boulevard. And I don't think that really works. Maybe I should just go with my rap name? My rap name would be DJ 5.5 seconds. So that could also be my porn name."
Tisha Campbell-Martin (star of "All of Us" and "My Wife and Kids"): "Mine would be Spunky Sheppard! That's hot! That is hot, right?"
