June 3, 2008 — -- Along with ball games, the beach and BBQ, music's essential to summer. Whether you're looking to groove to hip-hop, chill out to jazz or mosh to rock, there's something for every music fan this season. Check out ABCNEWS.com's roundup of some of this summer's must-see acts.

Rock Werchter

Hanging out in Europe this summer? While you may miss out on some of the hottest tours in the U.S., Rock Werchter hits Belgium July 3 to 6. The four-day festival, located about 10 miles away from the city of Leuven, features international favorites like Ben Folds, Counting Crows, Duffy, Jay-Z, Panic at the Disco, R.E.M., Radiohead, and Lenny Kravitz, among others. Glastonbury Festival

The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. Located in South West England, the festival is full of popular artists, in addition to comedy, theater, and dance acts. Glastonbury, or "Glasto" takes place June 27 to 29 -- headliners include Amy Winehouse, Neil Diamond, James Blunt, Kate Nash, Kings of Leon, KT Tunstall, Jay-Z, John Mayer and Ben Folds. 29th International Festival of Jazz in Montreal

Highly regarded as "the best in the world" by popular jazz musicians, including B.B. King, Diana Krall and Tony Bennett, this 11-day festival brings together some of the most talented musicians in jazz today. This year, it will run from June 26 to July 6 in downtown Montreal, Canada, one of the world's jazz headquarters. The festival will pay tribute to piano legend Oscar Peterson, who recently passed away. Over 3,000 artists from 30 different countries are slated to perform. Click here for the full lineup.

Kanye West Glow in the Dark Tour

Kanye West's Glow in the Dark Tour has been one of the most buzzed about tours of the year since it launched in Seattle, Wash., on April 16. In addition to West, the tour features hip-hop up-and-comers Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D. and Rihanna. The two-month tour concludes on June 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio, before West heads to Bonnaroo. Oxegen Festival

The Oxegen Music Festival is an annual event sponsored by Heineken, held in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. With thousands of people camped out to catch their favorite acts, Oxegen is known to bring together an eclectic group of hot musicians and their fans. This year, it'll run from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13. Performers include R.E.M., Rage Against the Machine, Kings of Leon, The Verve, The National, Interpol, Bowling for Soup, and Amy Winehouse. Click here for the full lineup.

Lil Wayne

25-year-old Louisiana native Lil Wayne will tour the U.S. this summer, making stops from coast to coast. His latest single, "Lollipop," is fast becoming the club anthem of the summer, and the tour is bound to be as bumping as his music. Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival

Located in the gorgeous Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, Calif., the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival will take place from August 22 to 24. Offering a wide range of acts, the Outside Lands Festival caters to those who enjoy a diverse blend of music. Among the attendees: Lupe Fiasco, The Black Keys, Radiohead, Beck, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Ben Harpers and the Innocent Criminals, Steve Winwood, Wilco, Widespread Panic and Jack Johnson. Virgin Mobile Festival

For the third year in a row, Virgin Mobile is gathering some of the biggest and best names of today for this two-day music festival at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. The Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers are the ultimate family concert experience this summer. After spending part of the summer touring Europe, the three pop-punk brothers from New Jersey will be in Detroit, Mich., on July 5 and continue through August 31 with stops all over the country. Lollapalooza

Located in Grant Park, Chicago, this year's Lollapalooza will run from August 1 to 3. Performers include Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Gnarls Barkley, Kanye West, Flogging Molly and Brand New. Click here for the full lineup.

Rock The Bells

It used to be Rock the Bells only rocked California, but in recent years, tour organizers have added multiple stops around the country. The festival kicks off Saturday, July 19 in Chicago and closes September 6 in Quincy, Wash. Through its lineup of hip-hop superstars, Rock the Bells has earned itself a place within the must-see musical performances this summer. While many of the acts differ between cities, major headliners include A Tribe Called Quest, NAS, Mos Def, Methodman and Redman, Raekwon and Ghostface, and Immortal Technique. Bon Jovi

The Verizon VIP Tour featuring Natasha Bedingfield, Kate Voegele and the Veronicas

With Natasha Bedingfield's new single "Pocket Full of Sunshine" climbing the charts, this concert is definitely one of the summer's music highlights. The tour kicked off May 20 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and concludes on June 10 in San Francisco, Calif., and includes Kate Voegele, who made her name as a guest star and singer on "One Tree Hill." Kenny Chesney and LeAnn Rimes: The Poets and Pirate Tour

With seven No. 1 singles currently under his belt, country superstar Kenny Chesney is hitting the road. He'll kick off the "Poets and Pirate Tour" in Grand Rapids, Mich., with fellow crooner LeAnn Rimes. The duo will continue to 34 cities nationwide. Bonnaroo

This four-day campout in Manchester, Tenn., is a favorite among summer concertgoers. Bonnaroo is known for bringing together some of the best names in rock and roll as well as jazz and hip-hop music. The festival, which lasts from Thursday, June 12 until Sunday, June 15, features artists, including Chris Rock, Metallica, Willie Nelson, Ben Folds, Kanye West, Jack Johnson and Death Cab for Cutie. Hootie and the Blowfish

Hear some great music and feel good doing it! The Hootie and the Blowfish Homegrown tour benefits children's education. The band wants each concertgoer to bring school supplies to benefit local teachers and schools in need. American Idols Live

Love "Idol"? Then you'll want to catch this. The top ten contestants of "American Idol's" Season 7 will be in a city near you this summer. The tour includes Brooke White, Carly Smithson, Chikezie Eze, David Archuleta, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns, Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado and this year's winner, David Cook.
