Did you know that Elijah Wood was in the classic film?

As "Back to the Future" Day is being celebrated all over the world, ABC News compiled a list of five famous faces who you may not have realized played a part in the cult classic film.

The "Titanic" actor played Match, Biff’s friend in the mid-1950’s, who had a match in his mouth as kind of a toothpick. Match is still working for Biff in 1985 in an alternate universe, serving as security.

Today, Zane is still acting and is currently working on multiple projects. However, the actor has not forgotten his "Back to the Future" days, posting a cute throwback photo on Twitter in honor of today's special date.

Jason Scott Lee

Fun fact: Just 8 years old when the movie was released, "Back to the Future Part II" was Wood's very first film credit.

Mary Ellen Trainor

The mother you know and love from "The Goonies" was simply known as Officer Reese in "Back to the Future Part II." Officer Reese was a futuristic cop that was not to be messed with.

After her "Back to the Future" days, the late Trainor had a successful film career, appearing in hit films such as "Lethal Weapon" and "Die Hard." The actress passed away earlier this year.

Flea

Red Hot Chili Peppers musician Michael Peter Balzary, better known as Flea, played Needles, McFly’s boss in the future. Needles was also known to get Marty to do crazy things in his younger days by calling him “Chicken.”

Flea traded in his scripts for set lists, and is now the bassist of popular rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers.
