Adele's Pregnancy Photos, Images of Son Reportedly Hacked and Shared
A fan reportedly came across the images and alerted Adele’s team.
-- Singer Adele is the newest high profile victim of photo hacking after private photos of her were reportedly stolen and posted to a fan page on Facebook.
According to The Sun, a British newspaper, the leak includes extremely personal pictures that were taken during the singer's pregnancy and an ultrasound scan and newborn photos of her son Angelo, who is now 3 years old.
The Sun claims that the photos were obtained from the email of Adele’s boyfriend, Simon Konecki.
The singer is known for keeping her personal life and family matters out of the spotlight. She successfully battled paparazzi in 2014 over photos they had taken of Angelo.
The Sun also reported that one of Adele's fans came across the images and alerted the singer’s management team.
"I was appalled and upset for Adele when I saw the pictures. They are really private and should not be passed around," the fan said, according to The Sun.
Adele is not the first celebrity to be targeted by hackers. A major hack of more than 100 celebrities in 2014 led to the release of racy photos, including of actress Jennifer Lawrence and model Kate Upton.
The FBI is still investigating that case, but one man, Ryan Collins, has pleaded guilty to a felony violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. He faces between 18 months and five years behind bars when he's sentenced.
In 2012, a Florida man was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to hacking into email accounts and stealing compromising photos of celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera.
It’s not clear whether Adele is taking any legal action in this case. Representatives for the singer declined to comment on the matter to ABC News.
