Who Allison Williams Channels on the Red Carpet
The "Girls" star reveals which A-list star influences her amazing style.
Jan. 7, 2014 -- Allison Williams stars as a struggling 20-something on the HBO series "Girls," but her red carpet persona is much more put together.
A big fan of American designers and glamorous gowns, Williams, 26, told Elle magazine that those choices are deliberate.
"I wanted to establish a baseline: Here's what I look like, I have long brown hair, I wear this kind of dress, this is the deal. You can count on it!" she said. "Look at Jennifer Aniston: She's America's sweetheart for a reason. You know what she's going to look like when she shows up to something, and there's something so comfortable in that."

However, the young star hopes her career is less predictable. Williams, whose father is NBC anchor Brian Williams, said that she's open to playing all different types of characters.
"I want to play a villain. I want to play a romantic heroine. I want to play someone who's on heroin. There's nothing I don't want to do," she said. "I want to play a guy at some point. I'll gain 100 pounds, I'll cut my hair off, I'll do whatever. I'm not precious about any of it."
