Actress talks about her marriage to Brad Pitt and their six children.
Dec. 22, 2014 -- Angelina Jolie acknowledges that marriage and raising a family are "hard work," but says she and husband Brad Pitt are in it for the long haul.
"[Brad and I] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected," the actress turned director told the January issue of Australian Women's Weekly. "Maintaining a marriage and raising kids is hard work. You have to really make sure that your work doesn’t get in the way. That you don’t do something that is going to put too much strain on your family."
The 39-year-old star told the magazine that say is "very happy to be married" and enjoys calling Pitt, 51, "my husband."
She also talked about her six children and each of their personalities.
"They're six of the funniest people we have ever met in our lives. We love being home and we love being around them because they are just so entertaining," she said in the interview.
Jolie spoke to The Weekly while in Sydney, Australia, for the world premiere of her new film, "Unbroken," which opens Christmas Day.
The director, however, missed the U.S. premiere of the film while battling chicken pox. Pitt and three of their children stood in for Jolie.
