Angelina Jolie Reveals the Sweet Vows Her Children Wrote for Wedding to Brad Pitt
The children made her and husband Brad Pitt promise to do one thing.
-- Angelina Jolie couldn't be happier now that she's officially married to Brad Pitt.
“It does feel different,” Jolie told Vanity Fair for the December cover story, out on newsstands Nov. 11 “It feels nice to be husband and wife.”
The two tied the knot in late August after being together for almost a decade. Pitt and Jolie's children -- Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 6 -- all took part in the wedding.
Jolie, 39, told the magazine that the vows the children wrote for her and Pitt, 50, included some important promises they made to each other.
“They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do," Jolie said. "So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’?”
Jolie also touched on the new film "By the Sea" that she and Pitt are starring in together, their first since "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."
“A few friends asked if we were crazy . . . [A film about] a married couple going through some difficulties . . . and I’m directing him," she said.
The conversation then turned to politics, to which Jolie said she is "open" to one day trying.
“When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered,” she added. “Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility.”
