Ariana Grande Apologizes Again for 'Doughnut Fiasco'

— -- Ariana Grande has issued another apology after TMZ released footage this week of her allegedly licking some doughnuts and saying she hates America at a California shop.

The four-minute apology video, titled "sorry babes," was recorded from what she called her "wisdom tooth recovery home" and shared on YouTube Thursday night.

A puffy-cheeked Grande, who recently underwent dental surgery, said in the video she wanted to address what she described as the "doughnut fiasco" again because she felt her first apology missed an opportunity.

She explained that in the statement she released Wednesday, she was "too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry."

In that statement, the pop star said she was "EXTREMELY proud to be an American" and that, "As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole."

"I've actually never been prouder to be an American," the singer reiterated in her YouTube video, citing the "advances we've made in the past couple of months."

She continued that the TMZ story was a "rude awakening" for her.

"I'm sorry because I reacted in a way that I feel like wasn't necessary, to say the least, but also wasn't me at all," she said.

The singer added that she was embarrassed by her actions and never wants to be anything but a positive influence to her fans.

"I'm 22 years old, I'm human, I've still got a lot to learn, I make mistakes, and that's how I'm going to learn," she said.
