Ariana Grande confirms working on new music, posts photo from recording studio

The singer hasn't released new music since last May's bombing at her concert.

The 24-year-old pop star was responding to a fan's post that purported to show Grande working in the studio.

"I’m pretty sure dis is very old or fake," Grande wrote on Instagram stories. "If u wanted confirmation that I’ve been workin why didn’t you just ask?"

She then posted a Polaroid picture that appeared to show her working in a recording studio.

A fan posted the two images side-by-side on Twitter.

Grande has not released any new music since the deadly attack at her concert. Police said the bomber, Salman Abedi, killed 22 people and wounded more than 100 others when he detonated the explosives at the end of Grande's concert.

The singer returned to the city weeks later to headline the One Love Manchester benefit concert that raised millions of pounds for victims of the attack and their families. She was named an honorary citizen by the city of Manchester afterwards.
