'The Bachelor' Stars Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff Discuss Her Engagement Ring
Soules revealed why he picked the ring -- and Bischoff weighed in too!
-- On Monday night, "The Bachelor" star Chris Soules proposed to Whitney Bischoff and slipped a ring from jeweler Neil Lane onto her finger.
The bauble, which Soules chose just before the proposal, weighs approximately four carats.
"I just picked what I thought I liked the most -- what I felt was the prettiest ring I could find," Soules told ABC News. "We have a lot of things in common, in a way, and I just picked out what I thought was the most beautiful ring that kind of represented her sense of style as well."
Soules described the sparkler as "the sharpest, coolest, cleanest, [most] perfect ring," though he noted that he would have been thrilled with any of the pieces that Lane showed him. However, this one was remarkable. It's a diamond ring set in platinum, featuring an emerald-cut stone surrounded by 20 round, brilliant-cut diamonds, accented by two tapered baguettes. It's further adorned with 92 smaller, round diamonds.
"I'm actually not a picky person when it came to that. To me it was more the excitement of falling in love and getting engaged," Bischoff said. "But the fact that he picked it out made it that much more special."
