'Bachelorette' Host Chris Harrison Weighs in on the Clint and J.J. Bromance
Plus, learn more about the two most talked-about men on the dating series.
-- On last night's episode of "The Bachelorette," one of the suitors, Clint, professed his love for another man in the house, J.J.
Viewers were confused as to what was going on with them, though, as was host Chris Harrison. Still, the show alluding to a romance wasn't out of line.
"It's not just a simple bromance. I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's that big of a stretch the way they were talking and acting," he told TV Guide. "I'm still not even sure what to make of it."
Clint, who last week enjoyed a one-on-one date with Kaitlyn Bristowe, was more distant this week, and said that he was pretty sure that she's not the right woman for him. However, he was determined to get a rose from her, so that he could continue getting to know J.J.
“It’s absolutely insane. I never thought that I’d meet somebody like that,” he said. "Falling in love with a man never crossed my mind."
Clint, an architectural engineer from Chicago, and J.J., a former investment banker and the father of a little girl, never cleared up whether theirs was a romantic or platonic relationship. However, they're still in touch, and have been communicating on social media for weeks. Most recently, Clint compared himself and J.J. to "Batman" villains, and opened up a bit about his mother's reaction to last night's episode.
"Dedicated to my sweet and loving mother, who will now live out the remainder of her years in an insane asylum after last night's episode of #thebachelorette," he wrote.
According to Harrison, however, the Clint-J.J. union is not without drama.
"You'll see a lot more. There's a massive betrayal [that has to do with] the Clint-J.J. relationship, the likes of which I don't know if we've seen in a long time," he said. "It's very explosive and I don't find Clint as much of the bad guy in the house that J.J. seems to be."
