'Bachelorette' Recap: Kaitlyn Bristowe Is Chosen, Britt Nilsson Is Sent Home

Britt Nilsson was sent home and all the other details.

Kaitlyn Bristowe's search for love will continue as the sole "Bachelorette."

As a limo drove her away from the "Bachelorette" mansion, Britt said through tears, "I'm still grateful for the experience, but I almost wish I hadn't met [the bachelors] because that makes it a lot harder to walk away from."

Kaitlyn, of course, was thrilled to learn from Harrison that she received more votes than Britt, though she confessed, "I feel wrong being that excited."

"Hands down, the best moment of my life," she said after the show revealed she was chosen by the male contestants.

"I have the best group of guys here, you have no idea," she was shown telling her mother over the telephone.

After the men were informed of the results, she joined them, and was greeted with applause.

Before her first rose ceremony as the official "Bachelorette," Kaitlyn had the opportunity to spend more time with the guys. Joshua, an industrial welder, presented her with a rose he welded.

The first kiss of the season went to a dentist, Chris. However, Kaitlyn gave the first impression rose to Shawn B., a personal trainer, who also got a kiss.

The rose ceremony offered an unexpected twist when Brady admitted to Kaitlyn that his heart belonged to Britt, and that he was removing himself from the competition. The episode ended with Brady chasing after Britt.

Nineteen men remain on "The Bachelorette," which airs a new episode next Monday night. However, a preview for the rest of the season promises the return of Nick Viall, the runner-up from Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette."
