'Back to the Future' Day: A Message from Doc Brown
"Great Scott!"
-- It's here -- Oct. 21, 2015.
With everyone today celebrating "Back to the Future" day -- the day Marty McFly traveled 30 years into the future in the franchise's sequel -- Doc Brown, played by Christopher Lloyd, had a message for fans.
"Great Scott! If my calculations are correct, it's now precisely Oct. 21, 2015," he says in a short clip that aired today. "The future has finally arrived!"
He then alludes to the differences from the predictions made in "Back to the Future II" - such as no flying cars and the Cubs on the brink of being eliminated from the Playoffs, not winning the World Series in 5!
"Yes, it is different than we all thought," he adds. "But don't worry! It just means your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one."
