Adam Lambert: 'No Regrets' After Tumultuous 2009
"American Idol" star is one of Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009."
Dec. 7, 2009 -- When Adam Lambert took the stage at the "American Music Awards" in November, he sang the title track from his new album, "For Your Entertainment."
He also delivered a performance so sexually explicit that it rocked the music world.
Barbara Walters recently interviewed Lambert as one of the "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009." Walters asked Lambert about his incredible year in show biz, revelations about his sexuality -- and the infamous AMA performance.

"It was called "raunchy," said Walters.
"Mm-hmm," said Lambert.
"Lewd. You ... groped a female dancer, you kissed a male musician.... Why did you do this?"
"To be honest with you, I just, adrenaline is a funny, funny thing," Lambert told Walters. "And I got ... I got really excited. You can't plan everything -- if I did a performance exactly how I rehearsed it, it would be so boring."
Walters asked Lambert if he regretted the performance.
"No," said Lambert. "No regrets."
Walters pointed out that "Good Morning America" canceled a scheduled appearance by Lambert after the AMAs.
"You were too lewd to be in the show," said Walters. "What effect is this going to have on your career?"
"I'm not sure," said Lambert. "Um, I -- you know, the other thing is, I -- I don't think that, you can really ... jump to conclusions about me as an artist based on one performance, that's, that's an ignorant thing to do."
