'Batman v Superman': New Clip Explains Why the Two Superheroes Are Fighting
A new "Dawn of Justice" teaser features Bruce Wayne's intense anger.
-- Up till this point, we had a pretty solid idea why Ben Affleck's Batman wanted to take down Superman in "Dawn of Justice," but last night's teaser during the NFL playoffs revealed an extended shot of Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, talking to his butler Alfred about the Man of Steel.
"You're going to go to war?" Alfred asks Bruce.
"He's the one who brought the war to us," Bruce says. He then says, "Count the dead. It's thousands of people [referring to the events in "Man of Steel."] What's next? Millions?"
Wayne is once again talking about the fight between General Zod and Superman in the 2013 movie prior to "Dawn of Justice" that left not only Metropolis, but possibly Gotham in ruins.
We next hear the line we've hear over and over already, "He has the power to wipe out the entire human race" but it continues with "And if we even believe there is even a 1 percent chance he is our enemy, we have to take it as an absolute certainty and we have to destroy him."
Affleck looks heated in the exchange, which ends with a shadowed look at Superman, the man he wants out of the equation.
With that being said, other trailers have shown that the two sides do eventually work together to face another, possibly greater danger to the people of Earth, and his name is Doomsday.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 23.
