Why 'Baywatch' Star Nicole Eggert Got a Breast Reduction
Eggert was known on "Baywatch" for her curves.
— -- Nicole Eggert was the fresh-faced teen Jamie Powell on the 1980s sitcom "Charles in Charge" who became known for her curves while donning the signature red swimsuit as a "Baywatch" lifeguard.
Today, Eggert, now 43, says those same curves are causing her major issues. She claims when she went to get breast implants for the second time a few years ago, she came out with a drastically larger cup size she says she never wanted.
"I wanted to enhance myself a little bit," Eggert told ABC News. "I never wanted, like, the big thing."
"That doctor has creative control completely once you're under and, in my case, my doctor decided huge boobs would be amazing on me," she said. "It was horrible."
Eggert, a mother of two young children, turned to the reality TV show "Botched" for help.
"Nicole's days of being a 'Baywatch,' bikini-wearing babe running around on the sand are over," Dr. Terry Dubrow, one of the show's two surgeons, told ABC News. "She's got two young children and she really just wants to be smaller and be more proportional."
Eggert says she is happy with her decision, adding that "less is more."
"I think the goal is to feel good and if you feel good, you look good," Eggert said.
Other patients on the E! reality show come to Dr. Dubrow and his on-air plastic surgeon partner, Dr. Paul Nassif, with surgery complications ranging from facial deformities after severe burns and 10 reconstructive surgeries to a woman who sought a transformation after having her face injected with cement.
"There are times when the plastic surgery complications are so advanced and so disfiguring that, potentially, they're not fixable," Dubrow said. "It's a fine line between how bad the problems are and how badly the patient wants to fix them. But at what cost?"
