'Beauty and the Beast:' Angela Lansbury Sings Theme Song for Film's 25th Anniversary
A live-action remake of the film will hit theaters in March 2017.
-- Twenty-five years after “Beauty and the Beast” was released, actress Angela Lansbury reprised the film’s iconic title song.
Lansbury performed the song before an audience at the 25th anniversary screening of the film today at Alice Tully Hall in New York.
Lansbury voiced the character of Mrs. Potts for “Beauty and the Beast,” which made history as the first animated feature film to receive an Academy Award nomination for best picture.
The Walt Disney Signature Collection Blu-ray and DVD of “Beauty and the Beast” will be released on Tuesday.
