Beverly Hills police have 12 sexual assault cases open involving the entertainment industry, dept. says

This doesn't include a 2001 case that involved Brett Ratner and Russell Simmons.

Weinstein has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex, and Toback said the allegations of sexual misconduct made against him were impossible due to his medical conditions.

Aside from that, the department would not specify suspect names or give other details about the cases.

On Saturday, a high-level source with the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to ABC News that the department has 22 active sex assault cases involving the entertainment industry. The LAPD has also taken 28 "courtesy reports" of alleged incidents that happened outside of the department's jurisdiction and sent them to the appropriate police departments, the source added.
