Beyonce Drops New Album During HBO 'World Premiere Event' Titled 'Lemonade'
The singer posted a 16-second clip on her social media accounts.
-- Beyonce dropped a new album tonight during her much hyped "Lemonade" special.
The pop star tweeted tonight, just as her HBO special was ending, announcing "Lemonade the Visual Album," which is available for streaming on Tidal. It was her first time tweeting since 2013.
The 12-song album features guest appearances by Jack White, The Weeknd, James Blake and Kendrick Lamar.
She had teased the "Lemonade" special on her Facebook account a week ago, adding to the building excitement over "Lemonade."
Beyonce has been posting lemon-themed photos on Instagram for months.
Beyonce is known for pulling off surprises. In fact, her most recent self-titled album was a surprise to fans when she released it in 2013. She also released her first single, "Formation," from her latest album without notice.
The singer is currently on her Formation World Tour, which hits the U.S. in Miami on April 27.
