Bill Cosby to Be Deposed in Sexual Assault Case

Judy Huth accused the comedian of assaulting her in 1974 when she was 15.

The comedian will be deposed Oct. 9, according to a court order.

Judy Huth claimed in a 2014 civil lawsuit that Cosby assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was 15, which Cosby attorney Martin Singer has called “meritless and unsupported." She will give her testimony Oct. 15.

Cosby's attorneys had previously tried to block the questioning, but that appeal was denied. They also tried and failed to convince the court to have Huth give her deposition first. Cosby has countersued Huth, accusing her of extortion.

Prosecutors didn’t pursue criminal charges in the Huth case because of the statute of limitations.

Huth is one of dozens of women who have publicly accused Cosby of assault. His lawyers have always denied those claims, and previously issued a statement to ABC News calling the litany of claims "unsubstantiated, fantastical stories." Cosby has never been charged with a crime.

Cosby’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding these new developments.
