Bobbi Kristina Brown Moved to Hospice Care
Her condition has "continued to deteriorate," according to Pat Houston.
-- Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of late superstar Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been moved to hospice care, nearly five months after she was found unresponsive in her Georgia home.
"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," her aunt Pat Houston told ABC News in a statement on Wednesday.
"As of today, she has been moved into hospice care," she said. "We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."
It was not clear what facility she was moved to.
Brown's father Bobby was appointed co-guardian of his daughter in May along with Pat Houston. "Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs," his legal team said in a statement.
The 22-year-old was found face down in her bathtub on Jan. 31 by her partner Nick Gordon and a friend inside her home in Roswell, Georgia, police told ABC News at the time of the incident.
Brown had been at a rehab facility since March after being cared for previously at Emory University Hospital. At the she was moved to the facility her aunt Pat asked her fans and friends "to continue to keep her in your prayers as she is still fighting the battle of her life."
Just a few months ago in April, Brown's grandmother Cissy Houston, 81, revealed she was told by doctors that Bobbi Kristina has “irreversible brain damage.”
"I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive," she told People magazine via a statement.
