Bobby Brown Cancels Concert to Recover From Surgery

The R&B singer tweeted Saturday that he's "resting."

Brown, 47, was scheduled to perform Friday at the Charleston Jam Fest in South Carolina, but tweeted that he couldn't take the stage.

"Charleston, I will see you soon but I had to sit out this time. I will be back soon and I can't wait to hit the stage," he said. "I recently had surgery and the recovery time has taken longer than expected."

Although he didn't specify what type of surgery he underwent, he added: "My Gastroenterologist has made the decision to keep me resting for another week."

When the autopsy became public, Bobby Brown said in a statement to ABC News: "First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl. For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter's autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family."
