Bryce Dallas Howard Says 'Pete's Dragon' About 'Finding Your Family'

Disney's "Pete's Dragon" is being re-imagined into a new fantasy film.

— -- First told nearly 40 years ago, Disney's "Pete's Dragon" is being re-imagined into a new fantasy film.

The movie centers on a 10-year-old orphan named Pete who lives in the woods with his best friend Elliot -- a giant, green dragon.

"This movie is really about finding your family and maybe your family isn't necessarily your blood. Your family can be your friends, your family can be an adopted family," said Howard. "This is a beautiful story of a boy who loses his family and finds another one and there happens to be a dragon."

Howard's character sets out to figure out where Pete came from and the truth about the dragon. She joked that she has "really good chemistry" with Elliot, the tall, fuzzy, green dragon who can become invisible.

"I basically have a giggle fit every single time I'm around Elliot, it's very cool," Howard said. "This dragon is like nothing anyone has ever seen before. It's a very unique dragon and he's so awesome."
