Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd Featured in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Billie Lourd is sporting the iconic hair buns in the film!

Lourd, 23, spoke to People magazine about the coveted role and even though she is not Leia's daughter in the film, this is still a dream come true for the young actress.

"On special occasions I would make [Carrie] get in a lightsaber fight with me," she said.

"When I saw the [original] movie for the first time, I noticed my mom was not only equally as confident and strong as the men, she was one of the most confident characters in the entire film," Lourd said. "It made me realize women are just as powerful as men and that we can truly do anything they can – if not more!"

People has more pictures of Lourd in action on set, working alongside one of the droids PZ-4C0 as part of the Resistance. Her character's name has yet to be revealed, but Fisher's daughter in real life says Leia, her mother's iconic character, will definitely be an inspiration for her persona onscreen.
