Celebrity Siblings Are New Faces of Mudd Clothing Line
The sisters of Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens and Cody Simpson are models for Mudd
-- Noah Cyrus, Stella Hudgens and Alli Simpson all grew up with famous siblings, but now, they’re making a name for themselves as the new faces of Mudd, a clothing and accessories line for pre-teen and teen girls, with price tags under $100.
They spoke with “Good Morning America” correspondent Abbie Boudreau about their line and discussed whether they felt they were living in their older siblings’ show business shadow.
Cyrus, the 15-year-old sister of pop star and actress Miley Cyrus, acknowledged that she sometimes feels that way.
“Yeah, I mean, I think from, like, comments on Instagram and everything, like, people throw out there, like: 'We only know of you because of your sibling,' whatever. And, like, people know us for this [the Mudd clothing line] now, instead of just being, like, the younger siblings."
But all three teens admitted that they look up to their older siblings for fashion statements.
Miley Cyrus -- who is known for her daring and controversial clothing choices – often shares her opinions on Noah’s fashion sense.
“My sister, like, always comes over and like puts together outfits and I'll ask her, 'Okay, like, what should I wear with these pants?,'" Noah Cyrus revealed, acknowledging that she does not always agree with her 22-year-old sister’s attire.
“I mean, I don't want to get myself in trouble,” she said, laughing, “but I think there's certain stuff that I wouldn't wear, but she's all about being herself."
The Hudgens sisters have had similar experiences.
“I share a closet with my sister,” Stella Hudgens, the 19-year-old sister of singer/actress Vanessa Hudgens, said.
“In the closet, it's just both of our stuff, so, it's cool! It's fun,” she said. “Sometimes she'll dress me up and I'll dress her up."
The sisters don’t mind dressing – and looking – alike.
“Everyone thinks that we're twins and it's funny because we're seven years apart!" Hudgens said.
Noah Cyrus said she's been told by her famous sister not to care what others think and to avoid reading online comments about her fashion taste.
“You know, people say things, like, 'She doesn't look good in that' or, like, something about trashy or whatever but, like, don't look yourself up because you're going to see the negative things that you don't want to be told," she said.
Alli Simpson, the 16-year-old sister of singer Cody Simpson, added: "What really matters is if you're happy and you're comfortable."
