Get your first look at Yaya DaCosta as the iconic singer.
-- We're just about a month away from Lifetime's Whitney Houston Biopic, which is set to air Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. ET.
The movie will be directed by fellow actress Angela Bassett, who worked with the pop icon in the mid-1990s on their movie "Waiting to Exhale."
Lifetime gave everyone a first look this weekend with a one-minute trailer, featuring Yaya DaCosta, 32, as Houston, who died in 2012 at the age of 48.
In the trailer, we hear "You are the greatest voice of your generation" and lyrics from hit songs like "I'm Every Woman."
Her marriage to Bobby Brown and her drug use are also prominent. Check out the trailer now.
