Chris Rock Will Host the 2016 Academy Awards
This will be the comedian's second time hosting the award show.
-- Chris Rock will be hosting the 88th Academy Award, the comedian confirmed on Twitter.
Previously, The Hollywood Reporter published an article stating that Rock was in negotiations to host the Oscars, but today the "Everybody Hates Chris" star confirmed the news himself.
"Look who's back," Rock tweeted alongside a photo of him holding an Oscar.
The Academy Awards' official Twitter account also confirmed the announcement on its page.
This will be the comedian's second time hosting the Oscars. He previously hosted the 77th Academy Awards in 2005.
The 88th Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 28, 2016.
