CMAs 2014: Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan Among Nominees for 48th Country Music Association Awards
Nominations for the 48th annual CMAs were announced today.
— -- Luke Bryan and Taylor Swift are among the nominees for the 48th annual Country Music Association awards.
The nominees in five of the CMA’s 12 categories were revealed Wednesday on “Good Morning America.” Country music singer Darius Rucker and the members of the band Little Big Town -- Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jim Westbrook and Philip Sweet, appeared on “GMA” to make the announcements.
Swift is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, along with Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Kacey Musgraves and Carrie Underwood. Bryan and Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban are nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year.
Shelton and Lambert – who are husband and wife – are also nominated in the Entertainer of the Year category alongside Bryan, Urban and country music icon George Strait. Strait has been nominated a record 83 times for a CMA award.

The awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will host the event.
