Coldplay Plays 'Back to the Future' Songs Alongside Michael J. Fox
The actor joined the band for "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode."
-- Coldplay played two songs from the "Back to the Future" soundtrack on Sunday night -- and they were joined by the film's star, Michael J. Fox.
The actor surprised the crowd and performed "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode" with the band at their concert in New Jersey.
Frontman Chris Martin introduced the actor, who played the guitar.
"That's our dream come true," Martin said after they finished the set.
At the start of the set, Moses Martin, the Coldplay singer's son with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, requested that the band play music from "our favorite movie." In the video below, the rocker seems excited to comply.
"Well, if your son asks you to do something, then let's try it," Martin said.
According to The Associated Press, this was not the first time Fox has played alongside Coldplay. They also performed together at a show benefiting the Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2013.
