'Dancing With the Stars': Val Chmerkovskiy on Making Bruce Willis Cry
"You're welcome," Rumer Willis' partner said.
-- Rumer Willis' impressive finals performance Monday night brought her father, Bruce Willis, to tears.
During her foxtrot, the camera cut to the "Die Hard" star and he was clearly touched by her dance.
After the first part of the finals -- the second part is tonight on ABC -- Rumer Willis, 26, and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, explained the dance and why it affected the legendary actor so much.
"I put everything I had out there today," Rumer Willis told ABC News on Monday night. "I'm so excited. I'm a little sad that it's done and next week we don't get going, dancing something new. But ... we have a few more dances to do [Tuesday]."
Chmerkovskiy marveled at the fact that Bruce Willis "was in the audience on 'Dancing With the Stars' this season and, on top of that, was in tears. There's no footage like that in the world, in the history of television."
He added, "Outside of acting, I don't think there has ever been captured Bruce Willis in tears and genuinely meaning. So, you're welcome, 'Dancing With the Stars.'"
