David Hasselhoff Proves to Be a Hit on Facebook Live

“It gives a personal level to the people who know you from television,” he said.

He is literally taking his fans everywhere, giving them a sneak peek into his everyday life and getting tens of thousands of views in the process.

“It gives a personal level to the people who know you from television,” The Hoff explained in a Skype interview on “Good Morning America” today. “I get mail from people who are live from Taiwan saying, ‘Hi, I’m checking in from Taiwan.’ They saw me on television as the Knight Rider in Taiwan and suddenly they’re in my living room with my dogs.”

Hasselhoff joked on "GMA" that this was “the earliest Facebook Live” he’s ever done, appearing from Los Angeles alongside his pet bird.

“It’s so fun because it just gives a human element to the people. And you can connect with people all over the world,” he added.
