Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi Address Baby Rumors
"We're not having a baby... or are we?" DeGeneres teased.
-- Portia De Rossi has said in the past that she and Ellen DeGeneres have never wanted to have children.
Despite tabloid reports, nothing has changed.
"It would be so fun for everybody if we were," De Rossi remarked to her wife, while visiting her talk show. "Did you see it says, 'They're finally starting a family'? Are people really that mad at us?"
"They want us to have a baby," observed DeGeneres. "My assistant asked if I was keeping something from him because it's so prevalent and everyone assumes we really are having a baby and we're just not sharing it. So we might be having a baby and we're just not sharing it."
"But we're not having a baby. Or are we?" she added. "We're not."
The couple, who wed in 2008, never planned to have children, De Rossi had said previously.
“You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did,” she said last year. “So it’s just going to be me and Ellen and no babies.”
