— -- Seersucker is a timeless fabric that lends itself to classic looks.

The fabric was first made popular in 1909 by New Orleans tailor Joseph Haspel. Haspel’s clothing company is still flourishing today.

Zee appeared on “GMA” as part of the “Yahoo Your Day” series, a collaboration between “GMA” and experts from Yahoo.

“It can be really scary but I think you have to really think of it as a really classic item you can rock all summer and the great thing is that it is such a cooling fabric … especially if you want to go to a summer wedding,” he said. “You don't have to sit there in a wool suit you can wear something that is like cotton and you don't have to worry about it wrinkling.”

Zee showed three seersucker looks.

The Looks

“You can see that you can really wear it to work you can wear it on the weekend,” Zee said.

Look 2: Seersucker for men. Zee said the wearer looked dapper.

“I mean this is quintessential summer seersucker … it just seems super-duper easy, you know. Again, you don't have to worry about this because it doesn't wrinkle in the way that linen (does) but it’s a lot more polished then linen is.”
