Eric 'The Actor' Lynch, Member of the Howard Stern Wack Pack, Dead at 39

He died over the weekend at age 39.

— -- Eric "The Actor" Lynch, a member of Howard Stern's famous "Wack Pack," died this past Saturday, his manager, Johnny Fratto, confirmed via Twitter. He was 39.

The cause of death has not yet been released.

"I loved Eric. I truly, truly loved him," Stern said on his Sirius radio show this morning. "When Eric would call in, I got so excited because he was the greatest."

Lynch, who also went by "Eric the Midget," was three feet tall and had various medical issues. However, Stern said that he was always struck by "how feisty he was, how pissed off he was."

"Most people in Eric's condition would be bitter, but Eric loved life," he said. "He still carried on like a maniac, and he was the greatest."

According to Stern, who had a conversation on the radio with Lynch's caregiver, the Wack Pack member was once told that he wouldn't live to be a teenager. However, "he kind of proved them all wrong," Stern noted.

"For what he was dealing with, it was pretty amazing that he lasted that long," Stern said. "I knew because I knew Eric's situation with his health, I knew we'd lose him at any time. I knew it, but I never really thought the day would come. He seemed to be beating the odds all the time."
