Evan Rachel Wood Speaks Out on Sexual Assault: 'I Am Still Not OK'

The 29-year-old "Westworld" actress alluded to a history of abuse in a Rolling Stone interview, saying it was "physical, psychological, sexual."
Wood later tweeted a public letter revealing her ordeal, saying, "Yes. I have been raped. By a significant other while we were together, and on a separate occasion by the owner of a bar."
"Well, since everything is out in the open now, figured I would share the confession letter I wrote to @RollingStone in its entirety," she wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtag #NotOk.
Wood said that what she experienced took a toll on her and that she even tried to commit suicide when she was 22. Now, she wrote in her letter, "I am still standing. I am alive. I am happy. I am strong, but I am still not OK."
She said she kept quiet all these years because she didn't want to be a "sob story" or be accused of doing it for attention or be told "that's not really rape."
The actress currently stars in HBO's hit "Westworld." She plays the AI robot Dolores, who has been raped and physically abused by guests of the titular park. Wood told Rolling Stone that she used her "demons" when filming scenes for the series to make peace with her past.
