Gigi Hadid Fights Off Man Who Grabbed Her Outside Fashion Show
A man tried to pick her up, but she elbowed him and got away.
-- A man tried to pick up model Gigi Hadid outside the Max Mara fashion show in Milan on Thursday morning, but she managed to fight him off.
Hadid was walking out of the show, holding sister Bella's hand, when a man slipped through security, wrapping his hands around the 21-year-old and attempting to lift her, video and photos of the incident posted online show.
Hadid threw an elbow at his face, and the man dropped her and ran off. Hadid even tried to go after him, before her team held her back and escorted her into a car.
Video shows she screamed, "Let go of me!" before the man ran off.
Hadid later tweeted about the incident, writing, " I'm a HUMAN BEING -- and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that idiot thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho."
The man has reportedly been identified as Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian media personality. Sediuk is known for accosting celebrities at events and was famously slapped by Will Smith after he planted a kiss on the actor at the "Men in Black 3" premiere in Moscow. ABC News has reached out to Sediuk for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
