'Girls' Star Zosia Mamet Weds Evan Jonigkeit
The daughter of David Mamet wed the "X-Men" star in a private ceremony.
-- "Girls" star Zosia Mamet is now a married lady.
Weeks after wrapping the popular HBO show, Mamet wed her "soulmate," longtime boyfriend Evan Jonigkeit, in a private ceremony over the weekend.
She announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday. "My best friend, my soulmate, my HUSBAND, I love you. Here's to forever and a day," Mamet, 28, wrote alongside a pic of a pair of rubber duckies dressed as bride and groom.
While there are few details known about the wedding, Mamet's stylist did post a photo of the star's wedding 'do. In a break from tradition, Mamet skipped the veil and instead had red and pink flowers woven into her long blond tresses.
"Sometimes you just don't need a veil. Congrats @zosiamamet to being the girl that has never been traditional," Tommy Buckett wrote on Instagram.
Mamet, the daughter of playwright David Mamet and actress Lindsay Crouse, and "X-Men" actor Jonigkeit have been together since 2013 when they played a couple in the off-Broadway play "Really Really."
Mamet recently said goodbye to "Girls" and her character Shoshanna Shapiro after wrapping the final season a few weeks ago.
"And that's a wrap. It has been an unforgettable 6 years," she wrote on Instagram. "To my GIRLS family, I adore you. To our fans, thank you for continuing to watch. And HBO, thank you for giving us a home. Shosh, it's been real...ill miss you all."
