Former 'Glee' Extra Explains How Tweeting Show Spoiler 'Ruined Her Life'

— -- With a single tweet, one former television extra said the Internet tore her life apart.

“I was receiving death threats,” Nicole Crowther told ABC News. “It was devastating. A lot of people were saying they wanted me to die.”

Crowther, who was an extra on her favorite series, "Glee," said she often tweeted about the hit show.

But it was one tweet she sent that made “everything hit the fan,” she said.

“K is PQ and KA is PK,” the tweet read.

The cryptic letters, Crowther said, were code to a major plot spoiler for the show's second season: Kurt would be prom queen and his longtime bully Karofsky would be prom king.

“I woke up to thousands of emails of new people following me on Twitter and I was like, ‘What’s going on here?’” Crowther said.

“Glee” aired for six seasons on FOX, ending its run in 2015.

The fallout from her tweet became clear when a Glee producer saw it and responded on Twitter.

“Who are you to spoil something talented people have spent months to create…hope you’re qualified to do something besides work in entertainment.”

Crowther said she was shocked that the producer even came across her tweet and that she was blacklisted from working as an extra on the series.

“If I could go back in time and change it, yes I probably would,” she said. “I probably would have liked to save myself the stress and the pain that I went through.”

Crowther’s story appears on the new series, “The Internet Ruined My Life,” which airs Wednesdays on the Syfy channel.
