First Look at ‘Hacksaw Ridge’: Trailer for Mel Gibson-Directed Film Debuts on ‘GMA’
The film tells the story of a conscientious objector who won the Medal of Honor.
-- "Good Morning America" got the first look at "Hacksaw Ridge," Mel Gibson's upcoming movie that tells the story of the first conscientious objector in American history to win the Medal of Honor.
The film stars Andrew Garfield as Desmond Doss, the World War II Army medic who refused to carry a weapon or kill. Doss risked his life -– and sustained serious injury – to save the lives of dozens of soldiers in his company during the Battle of Okinawa.
The cast of “Hacksaw Ridge” includes Sam Worthington, Hugo Weaving, Teresa Palmer and Vince Vaughn. The film will be released on November 4.
