Halle Berry's Daughter Prayed Every Night for Over a Year for Little Brother
"I didn't have the heart to tell her it might never happen," Berry said.
July 9, 2014 -- Halle Berry's son, Maceo, is a miracle, the Oscar-winning actress said today on "Live With Kelly & Michael."
Indeed, Maceo, who was born in October, means "gift from God" in Spanish, she said.
Berry said her daughter, Nahla, "prayed for a year and a half every night" for a little brother or sister and that it "magically happened."

Berry, 47, got pregnant with Maceo in her mid-40s with husband Olivier Martinez, something she didn't think was possible at that age.
"I didn't have the heart to tell her 'mom's 47 and it might never happen,'" she said of her daughter ‘spraying every night for a sibling.
But it happened and Nahla, 6, couldn't be a better big sister, she said.
"Because she prayed for it, she’s ready," she said. "It's like her baby doll came to life."
She's a great helper with the baby, too! Berry said Nahla is always throwing stuff on the baby's clothes to make them dirty so she can help change them.
Berry also revealed that her pregnancy was called "geriatric pregnancy," not by the magazine or tabloids, but by the hospital itself.
"Both my pregnancies were geriatric," she said.
